Singer/songwriter
Haku is a Boston based singer/songwriter who creates a genuine and vulnerable experience through his music and performance. His indie/folk driven songs inspire warmth and reflection, and his emotional and nostalgic voice allows the audience to feel a heartfelt connection.
He has always levitated towards finding beauty in small things such as kids playing freely in the puddle after the rain, an old man’s smile as he feeds the birds, the mountains turning light green as the Spring approaches, the clouds floating peacefully like a boat in the ocean, the lamppost spreading its light through the fog late at night. The eagerness to capture the beauty of the nature and life as well as the lessons he learns from them often drives and inspires his music.
The desire to create also comes from wanting replicate the feelings he felt through other music as well. The overwhelming joy felt from Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, the heart tugging agony from Bob Dylan’s Lyrics, and beautiful harmonies and poetry of Simon and Garfunkel are just a few examples of the music he strives for.
Currently, Haku is studying Songwriting as well Contemporary Writing and Production at Berklee College of Music, finessing his skills to capture the music that he aspires to create all while performing at various venues and events to include Sofar Sounds, Berklee Storyteller Series, and local establishments. He’s constantly looking for opportunities to share his music and to collaborate with other musicians to seek most beautiful music we could possibly create.
